Tourist Information

Religion

1. Cropped the center area to bring more focus onto the statue.
2. Added a dark strokes filter to increase the contrast and add texture.
3. Added a lens flare over the statue
4. Cropped a Westboro Baptist churchgoer behind the bushes in a darker area to further convey the theme of religion, highlighting positive and negative aspects for balance as well as conveying the idea that such radicals should be shunned to the background to prevent their association with positive religious ideals.
4. Increased the saturation to create a vibrant colour palette.

Feedback:
I like the detail that Josh included in the picture. I really like the lens flare that Josh added. The only change that I would suggest is that he should reduce the brightness of the grass to a more natural look.

I cropped the grass from the original image and placed it on a layer above the grass, bringing more focus to the statue.

Seasons

1.    Added noise to give the tree a speckled, snow like texture.
2.    Cropped the image of a snowman from a separate image and added it behind a car.
3.  Selected the right tree and added a filter to increase the contrast.
4.  Desaturated the image to create a cold mood.
5. Added text to describe the theme

Feedback:
Josh does a very nice job with making the image have a wintery atmosphere. I think Josh should add some clouds to the picture as the sky has too much empty space.
I changed the text and rendered clouds in the sky, then filtered them to make them more cloudlike.

Parks & Leisure

1. Selected the outline of the water using the magnetic lasso tool.
2. Created a new layer for the water.
3. Increased the saturation of the selected water.
4. Added a filter to create a painted texture
5. Cropped a boat from a separate image and added it to the water.
6. Copied the imported boat , flipped it horizontally and moved it to another part of the water.
7. Added text describing the theme.

Feedback:
I like the effect Josh has added to the picture. I think that the water does not look right and should be desaturated slightly. I also think he should add something else to the water to fill it up.
I selected the water and changed the hue to a darker blue, then I added a second boat and flipped it horizontally.

I used Photoshop for the manipulation of all three images, its vast range of novice to advanced tools making it the most suitable option. All three have been saved as .jpeg to save space with no noticeable loss of colour depth or quality.
