Output Mediums

P.D.A

A palmtop computer used to store and organise files and images. They can also play video and audio files. Some may be useable as a pc mouse/keyboard. Modern P.D.A's also have compatibility with graphics manipulation software in the form of applications.

 

Printer:

A device that creates hard copies of information, eg; documents or images created in photoshop.





Speakers:

A device which converts data into sound.

Plotter:

 A plotter is a type of printer designed to produce hard copies of vector graphics. Most commercial graphics software no longer support HPGL file formats, or any form of pen plotter output. Despite this, there are still a few contemporary software packages that offer support, or are designed for plotter use.


Monitor:

A screen that displays images generated by a computer. Multiple monitors can be connected to a single computer for easy multitasking or working with many images at once.

Projector:

A device used to display an image by projecting light onto a surface. This can be used to work with a large image on an interactive board.

Smartphone:

A handheld device capable of storing and transferring data. They can also play video and audio files. Most smart phones can now function simultaneously as a mouse and keyboard for a PC. Apps are widely available to assist in graphics manipulation.
